Newsletter #2: Our new look.

We have a look. Check us out.

As one of our very first users, you probably joined when our site was—well—basic (thanks for sticking around). Today, we’re excited to share our brand new look with you. We wanted something more sophisticated than the average dating app, but also warm, friendly, and, of course, fun. It's live on our site, but here's a preview:

Now that we're looking good. We're going big.

Since launch, sign-ups have grown quicker than expected (thanks to all of you). Now that our brand is up, we're ready to go bigger. We released our first press piece about the launch, and will be connecting with media over the next month. We'd love if you could share us on your social media of choice, too. Right now every single sign-up counts!

Building a community together.

OUR FIRST EVENT

We're planning to host a panel discussion and party in October around modern relationships and adult friendship, along with some mixing and mingling where people can make new friends... or more than friends, if you're so inclined. More on this soon.

THE CHORUS

In the next few weeks we'll be launching The Chorus, our content series about all things online dating, modern relationships, and adult friendship. We have some amazing writers lined up, but we're always open to new voices. Email me (emily@getchorus.co) if you have a story to tell; I'd love to hear from you.

THE COMMITTEE

The Chorus Committee is a group of super engaged users who give feedback every week on new ideas and designs for the product experience. We're holding our first event with the group this month, and we're always looking for new members! If you’re interested in joining the committee, email hello@getchorus.co.

Behind the scenes.

At Chorus, we’re all about openness and honesty—in dating, and in life. Occasionally we'll share the inner-workings of our all-female team and what it's like to build something from the ground up.

We're still figuring out the right cadence for this newsletter, which is why you didn't hear from us last week. It will never be more than once a week, but it may be less. We want this newsletter to be something you look forward to seeing in your inbox and genuinely enjoy consuming. So please let us know if there are things you want to hear!

Then there's social media. I've spoken to a handful of new founders about how vulnerable it feels to launch social media when you're just getting started. You don't have to be a founder to feel this. If anyone recently started a Twitter or Instagram account—you get it. It's embarrassing to start out with no followers, but we all have to start somewhere. I guess that's the secret to anything, really: you have to start somewhere.

So a sincere thanks to each of you for hanging in there as we get started. We appreciate you. (And, um, please follow us on social media 😊 // Instagram // Twitter // Facebook)

Till next time,

Emily
