Bringing community back to dating.

connecting for change

Facilitating connections with a lens towards action

It’s hard to think about dating right now—even as a single person who founded this dating app. Each headline feels worse than the last and the election is around the corner. So we’re launching a new initiative to connect users around change as we approach November.

We hope you’ll connect romantically with like-minded people along the way, but the main point is to support each other in creating action plans, sharing resources, and helping hold each other accountable. Chorus will provide prompts, resources, and be right there with you.

starting thursday Oct 1st, 8-9pm EST / 5-6pm PST

How It Works

Works just like Dating Roulette except its centered around impact and action as we approach November!

  1. Log in every Monday night, 9pm EST, and set yourself to active.

  2. We’ll match you with someone who meets your preferences. We encourage you to keep them broad!

  3. You’ll get notified when we find you a connection. In the meantime, browse our prompts and resources for productive chats.

  4. Get paired in a 15 minute video chat to share ideas, feelings, and support each other in taking action around issues that matter to you.

  5. After the chat, you can decide if you want to stay in touch (we hope you do—it’s a great way to stay accountable).

NOTE: We monitor our community closely and have a zero tolerance policy for racism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia and the like.

FREE THE VOTE

About: is a grassroots, membership organization run by Returning Citizens (Formerly Convicted Persons) who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions, and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system that will enhance successful reentry, reduce recidivism, and increase public safety.

Action: Donate to restore voting rights in Florida.

Background: The courts just ruled that over 700,000 people with felony convictions in the state of Florida would – once again – have their right to vote taken away unless they can pay off their fees and fines.

Re-Imagine LA

About: Re-Imagine L.A. County is a coalition of advocates, community organizations, and neighbors supporting Measure J to prioritize health, housing, and jobs. For decades, L.A. County’s budget has directed money away from Black, Brown, and low-income communities and allocated it in ways that negatively impact these same communities.

Action: Join a workgroup, volunteer to phone bank or text bank, and / or help recruit volunteers to get the word out about Yes On J! Sign up for actions here, or directly for phone-banking here.

If you’re part of an organization that would like to partner, we’d love to hear! Email hello@getchorus.co.
